Recycled Crayons

We had lots of crayons that were broken, so I saw a way to "recycle" them into multicolor round crayons. Annalise, Wilson, and I spent some time and sorted our crayons, and then did the tedious job of taking off the wrappers. Then the kids picked out the colors they wanted in their custom crayon. We put them in a muffin tin with a liners, and then let them melt for about 15 minutes in a 275 degree oven.

Holden and Josef liked watching the crayons melt, it took so long for Keaton he decided to read a book while he waited!

The kids showing off their special creations!

I mean really, this was just away to pass sometime on a long summer day:)
