Josef's Nap

This morning we went over to Holmes' for breakfast. This is how Josef took a nap... What a beautiful place to sleep!

I don't see any room for me????

This is what my bed looked like at 7am this morning????

Our first dinner outside this year!

It has finally been warm enough to eat dinner outside. It was such a beautiful night, we went for a walk after dinner!

Boempa

Boempa would have turned 98 today. Boempa and I celebrated many birthdays together. The most memorable was my 21st and his 80th birthday. Boempa took me to Belgium for that birthday. We had a wonderful time in Belgium and Paris. He was such a fun grandpa. When we went to family dinners, he would always take Eric and I on a walk after dinner. That may not sound like much, but that was much more fun than sitting there and listening to a bunch of adults talk!

I remember the Spring Break after Moe passed away, I went and stayed with Boempa. We had so much fun. He took me to see E.T. , and he slept and snored all the way through it. We also made dinner for Ria and Dieter - the only thing I remember making bacon wrapped prawns - they were so good. We also went to a french bakery and got eclairs and napoleons.

The vacation was cut short though....Ria was waiting for us when we got back from one of our adventures. She said I needed to get packed because my dad was at the hospital and was going to have emergency surgery. We packed and then drove straight to Tri City Hospital. My dad had an appendectomy, but his appendix had exploded when they tried to remove it. He was one sick man, and spent (I think) about 10 days in the hospital.

After my high school graduation...oh, so many years ago!

I am sure if he was still around he would get a kick out of his three great-grandsons! I can't believe Boempa would have been 98 years old - times flies!

La Caille

Ken received some gift certificates to La Caille for his first sale at his new job. He decided to take me for my birthday (he is so nice:) We went last night, and had a yummy dinner! The grounds are beautiful. There were swans in the ponds, peacocks, chickens and roosters walking around. My pictures don't do it justice, but this will give you an idea!

I had a wilted spinach salad and Tournedos Bearnaise (grilled tenderloin tips with mushrooms and bearnaise). Ken had butter lettuce with apple & walnuts salad, and then was adventerous for his entree with Caneton de la Saison (pan roasted eastern duck with season fruit cognac sauce). It was all delicious!

Wilson's Tribute to Grandma

These are a few of my favorite things...

The cards that Wilson & Holden made me...

Cheesecake for my birthday, even though I had to make it. I am sure if my mom had made it, it would taste A LOT better!

This wrinkled up nose...

My three little boys (even when I have a terrible time getting them ALL to look at the camera at the same time!

Stoney's smile...

My sweet Josef...

My shade garden with different hostas & a japanese maple... I love the various colors all together...

That my mom and dad continue to think my birthday is May 28...

My grandma had to set them straight, when I was a child (my mom has my birthdate incorrectly engraved on a bracelet!), but now that she is gone they have reverted back to their old ways...maybe I need to send them a copy of my birth certificate:)

I have truly been blessed!

Global Warming??? It is May 24!

I don't think my geraniums are going to make it through this....I am sure my tomatoes are fine in the wall o waters...but what about cucumbers, peppers & tomatillos????

These pots are waiting for herbs to be planted, I am glad that I have not gotten to them yet....
I am fine with it not being hot yet, but snow is a little too extreme!

Josef

I just wish I could bottle him up...

Josef is at such a fun age right now. It is fun to see his personality blossom. Josef is shy when his is around people he does not know. He is a little mischievious, now that he is crawling everywhere, he know just where to go to get a rise out of me - then he looks back at me and smiles. Josef loves his brothers (I still think they love him more than he loves them though). Josef is a daddy's boy - he gets excited when he hears his daddy's voice. Josef is quite the talker, he loves to babble and laugh. Oh, what a joy he is!

I really do wish I could bottle him up just for a couple of months. My baby is growing up way too fast!

Last but not least...Wilson

The Chicken Dance

Wilson told me this morning that he was going to do the chicken dance in his program. He said, "oh, mom it is silly". Wilson is such a serious little guy, it is hard for him to be silly..... so unlike his younger brother!

Wilson's Last Day of Preschool

I can't believe that nine months have past. Wilson has had a great time at preschool. He has made lots of friends. He loved playing outside, and playing blocks. I remember when he first started, he was so good to come home every Tuesday and Thursday, change his clothes and scrub his hands (Josef was just a couple of weeks old). He had grown up so much! I am so grateful to have such a GOOD little boy!

The campout was too much for him....

After lunch, Holden went over to the blanket that needed to be wash (from the campout) grabbed a pillow, and layed to and went to sleep....

Brothers.......

Josef is just like his older brothers....
Josef loves to pull the cords out of the wall...I know not the safest thing to do...

Holden hasn't changed...he went for the garbage can then....and he still loves to sit on the garbage can and watch Wilson play computer...

Wilson was the first to love this spot....

Yes all three are in their onsies....we love onsies!

Fathers & Sons Campout

Ken took Wilson and Holden to the Fathers and Sons campout. They had a great time, and came home dirty and smelly, so I guess that mrans they had good time!
