Holden's New Phrase

Holden has a new phrase, and every time he says it, I just laugh.

Just in case you could not understand him, he is saying "what da heck!"

YIIPPEEE 55 Degrees

We finally got out of the house and played! It was absolutely beautiful. It felt great to watch the kids ride bikes, and get out in the fresh air.

Holden's Nap Time

Holden thinks that he doesn't need a nap anymore, but I don't agree. Every afternoon we struggle, often times I give up puting him back in his bed, but today I kept putting him back in his bed. After about 7 or 8 times, I could just hear him playing, so I left him alone. An hour later, I peaked in to check on him, and this is what I found.

Sweet Holden

Holden has the funniest personality. He came to me this morning holding his Batcopter wrapped in his "bubba", and said "mom, this is my baby." He then started giving the Batcopter kisses. He always has something funny to say.

Family Preparedness

I worked at the Home Canning Center on Friday, so I could stock up on some long term food storage. I brought home a dry pack canner, and canned some rice I bought at Costco. It is always fun to have a "family project" on Saturday. The boys really wanted to help, so they got to do little things to help.

The Beach

First Fishing Attempt

We took Wilson and Matthew fishing at the Oceanside Harbor. It was a beautiful day, but we did not have a clue about fishing. We especially did not have a clue about what pests Pelicans can be, I have a fear of birds, and the Pelicans were very used to people and aggressive. Matthew caught a fish which was very exciting. We gave it to the people who helped us figure out what to do when a Seagull gets caught on your hook, because he is stealing the sardine. It was an adventure to say the least!

Wilson's Birthday Trip

We took a quick trip to Grandma and Grandpa's for Wilson's birthday. Our cousins were there at the same time, so we got to do some really fun stuff together. Blake and Matthew are two of Wilson and Holden's VERY FAVORITE people. It made it a lot easier on Ken and I to have them with us! We are still recovery from the trip, Holden got sick on the drive down, and Wilson got it on the way home, and unfortunately they both still have yucky noses and coughs.

TROUBLE

Holden put his finger in the cake....

Holden pushed the stool over, and grabbed a cake and started to eat it!
Holden ate another cake with everybody else, and still wanted more....

Holden could not wait until the Party to eat cake......

Wilson's Pre Birthday Party

We are going to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Wilson's Birthday, so we had cake, ice cream and presents with his cousins. I attempted to make and decorate the car cakes. Wilson was excited to look at and eat the car cakes.
