Temple Square

We went to Temple Square this afternoon with Grandma.  We are not used to going during tourist season, there were tons of people!  Our trip was cut short, because I didn't have the right nipples for Aurora's bottles...but we had fun anyway!
Grandma left to stay with Eric and his family, and then she is driving home tomorrow.  We will ALL miss her!  With faces like those, she might be glad to get out of this crazy house!!!!

Pioneer Day Picnic

We had a fun picnic with our cousins on Pioneer Day - pizza - not your traditional picnic food - but easy:) What a bunch of goofy boys...

Grandma & Aurora

Grandma has been since Last Monday.  The boys and Aurora have enjoyed having her here with us.  We will all be sad when she goes home on Saturday!

Her First Dress

Kayla, Paige, and Brooke sent Aurora the cutest clothes.  This little dress with the sweater is one of the outfits.  It is newborn size, so I figured she better wear it now, or she may not be able too!  She is getting big quick!

Grandma & Grandpa Holden

On Sunday, Aurora got to spend sometime with Grandma and Grandpa Holden!  Grandpa Holden loved holding her.

She changes every day!

Thanks Auntie & Grandma!

When we got home, there was a beautiful bouncy waiting for Aurora from Auntie and Grandma! She loves to snuggle up and sleep in it - I think it is her favorite place to be, besides of course the arms of a family member!

Coming home from the hospital

Aurora came home for the hositpal to 3 excited brothers on Saturday!

Meeting her brothers & cousins

All of the boys and Annalise were excited to meet Aurora!  They all love her so much, and sometimes a little too much!

Aurora Arrived!

Aurora Portlock arrived at 10:07pm on July 19, 2012.  She weighted 7 lbs. 3 ozs., and is a petite 18 1/2 inches.
We were suppose to be induced at 7am that day, but Labor and Delivery was full, so we waited for a phone call.  They called at 2:30pm, and we got there at about 3:30pm.  By the time we did all the paperwork, and prep I was started on pitocin at 5:30pm - I was already dilated to 5 cm.  My doctor came by at 6:15pm to break my water, and I was at 6 cm.  I got an epidural at 7:30pm, and I felt the best I had in months - no back pain! At 9:30 she was ready, so we waited for the doctor.  My doctor got there at 10pm, I pushed 3 times and she was born at 10:07!!! It was the easiest labor I have had!
She is healthy and happy, and so are we!

Her room is pretty much ready, so now she just needs to come!  If she hasn't already arrived, I am being induced Thursday morning...so there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Because I am a boy!

I was laying down, because my back is killing me.  Wilson came in to ask me something, and he said "mom Aurora will be here in 9 days", I replied "I hope she is here before 9 days, because I am tired of being pregnant", Wilson said, "HA HA I will never have to be that!", I asked him "you won't ever have to be what?", Wilson "pregnant".  I asked him why not, and his reply was "haha I am a BOY!"

It really cracks me up that he put all of that together, I just hope he nevers tells his future wife that when she is 9 months pregnant!

Working in the garden

Holden brought his "working goggles", he was a big helper for Aunt Becky! We brought home cucumbers, beets, and broccoli!
 Doesn't the garden look beautiful!
Wilson taking a taste of broccoli right out of the garden!
 Holden got some beets!
Taking a break with a popsicle!

Tennis Tournament

Before Wilson's tournament!

After the tournament, he was please that he placed fourth!
Wilson's instructors, and the other participants.  They played three matches each.  It was the hotest day of the year - other than the heat, it was fun to watch the little kids play!

This is pretty much how the matches were - one would serve, and get the point....

Wilson earned a point, so he went a put the clip on the net - I thought that was a cool way for the kids to keep track of their points!
Best volley of the night, I am glad that I sort of got it on video.  It wasn't easy to video, because the sun was so bright, I couldn't see what was on the screen:)

Getting a little bit closer...

Little by little, Aurora's room is getting ready for her arrival.  I hope her arrival is soon!

Games with Emily

My cousin Emily is always so much fun!  All of the kids adore her, and I don't blame them!  She had games and prizes already for the kids (and of course some of the adults got involved too!)

Celebrating Independence Day

Our day started out at our Ward/Neighborhood pancake breakfast.  The scouts did a wonderful job with the flag ceremony, and the kids loved the bike parade.  The pictures are courtesy of Amy (I left to make cookies for our afternoon BBQ).

The kids waiting for the West Bountiful Parade to start!

We ended the day in Huntsville at Gary and Emily's home.  Wilson and Holden got to go for a ride on the horses with Gary and Annie - I think that was the highlight of their day!
