Sickies

WHY??? It seems whenever we go to California the boys get sick! Wilson, Holden and now Josef have the yuckies. They aren't feverish, they just have yuckie noses, and Josef has a yuckie eye. It is amazing how cute he is even with a gross eye!

Breaking Out

Wilson and Holden went outside to play this afternoon. It is the type of winter day that I love. The sun is shinning, but it is still cold. The boys kept running from one side of our front yard to the other. They really liked running into the snow banks, and falling on them. It wasn't long before they came in the house, and need to change out of wet, cold clothes!

My Sweet Baby Josef

Josef is such a sweet little guy. He loves to snuggle up in my neck and go to sleep. It is the sweetest feeling to have my baby sleep peacefully up in my neck. This last month or so, I have tried to savor each time that he does it. I am afraid that Josef will grow out of this, and I don't want to lose my baby. This afternoon I tried to capture one of these sweet moments. It was not easy to hold him, and take a picture of us, but this is what I captured I just hope that I will always rememberand cherish these moments with mysweet little Josef.

Oh, Holden

Last night when I was finishing up dinner and feeding Josef,Wilson and Holden were "playing" in their room. Wilson came out and said, "mom, Holden made a big mess". I went to check it out, and this is what I found - oh, lovely! Needless to say, after dinner, we all went in and cleaned up the room. I also gathered a garbage bag of toys that will be heading to the DI.

Josef's Favorite Toy

It is amazing how much Josef is growing and developing. He is doing so much with his hands. He loves to hold toys, shake them, move them around and put them in his mouth. He is fun to watch and see his little mind working, and figuring out how to move his hands to accomplish what he wants.

An Early Birthday Present

I got this, as an early birthday present, from my mom and dad. I finally was able to use it the other day. I made chicken soup in it! I am sure it sounds crazy to be excited about gettting a 12 quart stock pot for my birthday, but it is a Le Creuset, and it is beautiful! Thanks mom and dad!

The BEST Big Brother in the World

Wilson has been asking all week to feed Josef. I have put him off every time (I know not the best mother in the world). I went grocery shopping this morning, and when I came home Ken told me to check the pictures on the camera. This is what I found. Wilson loves Josef so much. It drives me nuts that he always wants to pat his head, or get in his face and talk to him, but it is so sweet to watch him as he adores his baby brother.

Brothers

This face makes me a little nervous - all I see is Holden

They are all leaning....

Ken and I were playing with Josef last night on the floor. It does not take long for Wilson and Holden to come and join the fun!

Josef's Milestones

Josef is 5 months old today! It is amazing how much faster times goes after their born (than being pregnant)!

Over the weekend, we worked with Josef to sit on his own. He was able to sit on his own as long as his legs were positioned just so. The longer he sat the closer his head got to the floor.

Josef's first tooth broke through! It has been a long week for Josef (and me). He has been pretty fussy & drooly. He shoves everything he can in his mouth. His little tooth is pretty sharp, and he has hurt his own fingers (& mine) a couple of times. It is not easy to get him to open his mouth without a toy or his fingers in it, so this is the best picture I could get of his new tooth.

Whoever said Dress-up is for Girls?

They never saw my boys....

Granted, they do different things than girls when they are dressed-up, but they do dress-up.

The Newest CTR

The Newest Sunbeam

I can't believe it, but today Holden went to Primary for the first time as a Sunbeam. He has loved the song, "Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam" since he could talk. We have sung it every Family Home Evening. Holden is a Sunbeam! He is the funniest little guy. He makes our lives interesting! This picture says a lot about his personality. He is not only funny, but he has the most tender heart. He tells me numerous times a day, "mommy, I love you", and yes sometimes it is to try and get out of trouble - but not always. When he goes to bed at night, he always wants me to stay with him, and "tickle" his face. I love my little Holden, and I can't believe he is a Sunbeam!
Holden told us at dinner that he learn about, "baby Mozart going down the river, and a princess found him." We explained that it was baby Moses, not baby Mozart. I guess we still have a lot to teach him.

Holden Encourages Josef

And He Rolls....

He did it, and we got it on video!

New Year's Eve

We tried to do things a liitle different for the boys for New Year's Eve. We went and got Papa Murphy's pizza (our favorite), had hot fudge sundaes, built a fort, watched a WHOLE (the Incredibles) movie in the fort , and then Wilson & Holden slept in the fort. The boys had a blast!
