The Chicken Coop

On Saturday, we went and picked up chickens with my aunt & uncle. Wilson and Holden were so excited, and talked about it for days.

It was a little scarey when Buff went after the chickens in the box, and Ken had to pull him out of the box...

Today Wilson started going to Kindergarten everyday! He was so excited to really go to school now.

What a great bunch of cousins...Allison & Heidi were there too...I am not sure why I didn't make them get in the photo too...I guess I will have to get them when they come to dinner in September!

It has been so fun to have our cousins back from Michigan for a couple of weeks. Monday night they came over for Family Home Evening since they were flying back home on Tuesday morning. Holden is a crazy boy, but he has such a tender heart, he struggled saying goodbye to Blake...

Kindergarten

Wilson went to his first day of Kindergarten on Monday. It was a crazy morning, because we were with out power since Sunday at 4:30pm. He went from 8:50am to 10:50am, all in the dark! I picked him up and then went to get Carter, so we could all have a picnic lunch at Dinosaur Park. This week is all Kindergarten testing, so Wilson goes on Thursday morning for testing, and then starts on 8/3o, and then he will go 5 days a week.

Trout Farm

On Saturday, we went to the trout farm with the boys, we were so lucky to have Matthew come along too! I love to hear the excitment in their voices when they catch a fish. They caught 6 fish. Ken cooked them up, and was the only person that ate them for dinner, well...Holden did take one tiny bite! Ken is such a great dad!

For Josef's birthday we had a family BBQ. I am so grateful to live so close to my family. It was especially fun, because we had visitors from Michigan! Blake, Whitney & Matthew were there to help celebrate.

This is the Place

The Kids Activities

We all went to This is the Place Heritage Park on Saturday. The kids had so much fun (and so did we:)! There were so many activities for them to do. They washed a clothe on a washboard, and hung it out to dry, plowed a row for a garden, walked on stilts, ran with sticks & hoops,

panned for gold,

played in the Brooklyn Ship,

went to school,
rode a pony, took a train ride, petted farm animals...

I can't believe that it has already been a year. Josef is such a fun little guy, and we have been so grateful to have him in our family. Josef can balance, stand and if he chooses take a couple of steps. He loves to say dada & momma. He crawls right up to me, stands, put his hands up and says, "momma".
