Josef and the Bumbo
Halloween Train
This is actually the Spellbinder Train from LEGO, but to Wilson and Holden it is the Halloween Train. They saw this in a clear plastic bag in the storage room months ago, and have wanted to play with it since then. I decided, since Halloween is just a week away, I would get it out and put it all together for them. I told them they had to keep it on the kitchen table, because I don't want it destroyed with all of their other LEGO bricks. We will see how it goes....
The first thing Holden said was, "the ghost has a scripture case!". I don't know if you have tell from the close up picture, but that is why I tried to get such a close up picture of the ghost.

Thanksgiving Point
After we went to Cabela's, we still had some time to kill before we could pick up the Indiana Jones hat and whip. We decided to kill some time by going to Thanksgiving Point and having ice cream. The ice cream was yummy going down, but on the way home Wilson got sick in the car. The ice cream was not so good to clean up in the car.

Indiana Jones
Wilson has wanted to be Indiana Jones for halloween. I have searched high and low (internet for hours, Cabelas, REI, Smith and Edwards...) for a shirt that will work. I was about to dye a white shirt khaki when I decided to check DI. I found the perfect shirt there in his size. I almost started yelling in DI. When I pulled the shirt off of the rack, Holden yelled "that is an Indiana Jones shirt mom!". I think with the shirt we are now ready for halloween!
Pumpkin
Holden has said for the last few months he wanted to be a pumpkin for Halloween. I have asked him repeated, and consistently that has been his answer. I got him a costume on ksl.com this past weekend. He tried it on today and was happy with it. Holden has a tendency to change his mind, and not want to wear his halloween costume, so I at least have a picture of him being the custest little pumpkin in town!

Pumpkin Patch Firsts
On Saturday, we went to the Pumpkin Patch. It was Josef's first time, and our first time this year. It is fun living so close to the Pumpkin Patch, because we are able to go a couple of times each Fall. We met Heidi and the kids. The kids had more fun playihg hide-and-go-seek in the hay maze than looking for pumpkins, so Heidi and I did most of the pumpkin picking!

Wilson
Right now Wilson is going through a phase of not wanting to get his picture taken. Consequently, I haven't posted lately about Wilson.
Before I forget this exchange with Wilson, I need to write it down. A couple of Sunday's ago I was sitting at the table reading the Sunday newspaper. I had given Wilson the Toys R Us ad, and he was intently looking at it. There was a small ad for Indiana Jones LEGO sets, that he was studying. Finally, he said "mom, give me your glasses!". I can't even recall the amount of times I have told him, "I can't read that because I don't have my glasses". I had to explain to Wilson that my glasses only help my eyes, and wearing my glasses wasn't going to help him see the Indiana Jones sets any better.
It amazes me how much Wilson thinks about ways to solve his problems!

Independent Holden
I was in my bedroom feeding Josef, and talking to my mom on the phone when I heard some noises that didn't sound right. I walked into the kitchen and found Holden at the counter, refrigerator open, butter knife in hand (thank goodness it wasn't one of my big cutco knives), cutting a cucumber. He then proceeded to stab the cucumber with the knife and eat it like a lollipop.
